STEEL OR FIBERGLASS?

Polaris steel doors consists of galvanized inner and outer steel sheets that offer strength and durability. There is no wood to rot, warp, split or bow. It is difficult to even dent a Polaris door. For added security, a reinforcing steel strike plate attaches behind the wood strike jamb.

Fiberglass doors, by Polaris, are made of composite stiles that provide complete waterproofing for insulation and screw-holding power 2 times better than wood. Fiberglass reinforced skins are resistant to dents, dings, splintering and corrosion. An engineered composite bottom rail prevents moisture from seeping into the door.

Yes! You can paint or stain your Polaris replacement doors. Or, better yet - order your entry door pre-painted or pre-stained directly from Polaris. Over 20 colors from which to choose. Order it primed to apply your own paint or stain.

• WEATHER-STRIP

The door bottom weather-strip forms a weather-tight seal to the threshold. Polaris offers high-performance weather-stripping and bottom sweep upgrades to further strengthen the weather barrier of your entry door.

• THRESHOLD

Another weather-tight feature is the adjustable threshold. A few turns with a screw driver achieves a proper seal at the bottom of the door.
